Photographing the course for Drammen Golf Club – happy golfers

After a few weeks in lockdown due to the Coronavirus, it was so nice to get out into the open air to do a Golf photography shoot and produce a series of photographs for our local club here in Drammen, Norway.

As members of the club we did the shoot for free as a way of sponsoring the club. Initially the images would be used for their social media posts. But afterwards they discovered that there was a new Norwegian Golf Club App that showed each course in Norway and that they would have to submit images of each hole on the course to the App for publishing. This was perfect as we had taken each hole from the tees, the greens and some in between.

The club were delighted with the images and we were only too pleased to do them. It is always such a pleasure photographing subjects that you have a passion for. Below are some examples of the shots we took.

We shot the course over two days and had to use an electric buggy to carry all the kit around – it is quite hilly so would have been hard work otherwise. We asked the golf shop staff to advise the players that we would be out on the course just for politeness and for HSE reasons. Hi vis vests were also worn so that players could tell it was us and not just other players looking for their ball!

Overall, it was such a pleasure with all the players we encountered only too pleased to be part of the project. We hope that it shows what a lovely course it is and that it will encourage others to visit.
